So i was at Borders tonight between classes since my teacher decided to duck out early and saw they had two mini Felicitys. Have to admit they are way cuter in person. So I got her and wanted to see how different her hair is to my early PM Felicity. Well without having the big Felicity I noticed right off the mini's hair is more of a brown than a red. Comparing the two at home it is indeed browner and darker.

Anyway so my question is are the mini's hair close to what the big doll's hair? And why in the world did they give Felicity brown hair? [img]graemlins/thinking.gif[/img]

well feh, they need to change it back [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] I mean really I *love* red hair and its so pretty on the PM Felicity. So basically AG has no doll with a nice reddish hair color =/

Since my PM Lissie is late 1997, her hair seems kind of auburnish to me, but not too auburn if that makes sense.
hmmm well it does have some red in it, compared to my hair the mini's hair looks redder. Oh and the lavender gown is made of different material for the big doll?

Magdalen, your Lissie is gorgeous, when did you get her? I wish my Lissie had bright red hair . . .
I definitely think it's more of an auburn than brown.
I guess it's good that we all have our own opinions, but I really like my 2004 Lissie's hair. I would love it to be a bit more red, but most of the PM catalogue pictures of Lissie (and many PM Lissies on ebay), her hair looked far too pink, and I didn't think it looked very realistic. The new color is less red, but it's, without a doubt, a real hair color. That said, Magdalen, your Lissie definitely has one of the prettiest hair colors for a PM Lissie that I've ever seen. It's definitely red, but looks realistic, too.
I also wonder if there's an *actual* reason they changed Lissie's hair color. My only guess would be that since she wasn't selling very well, they tried to make her a little more..."normal" (read: plain) looking, and give her browner hair. We all know that brown is the most common hair color, so perhaps they thought she wasn't selling well because less people could connect with her red hair? Just a guess.

prasnlrd - wow big difference. Its a shame they stopped making them with glass eyes. I'll have to get one off ebay someday.

I could have sworn it was the year she was released but I managed to find pictures of me at christmas getting her. Well my mom has a poor habit of not dating pics but from the looks of it and the ones dated I could have gotten her in 93.
cami713 - hmmm pink? I've never really noticed that. But yeah in sunlight I looked at the mini's hair and its definately got a little red in it. Still too brown for my taste [img]graemlins/thinking.gif[/img] Yeah I was thinking along the same line as you, that they thought she might sell better with browner hair.
does the mini felicity have blue eyes or is it just me? They look greenish blushishh to me and her hair is really dark that is very weird!! My mattel lissy's hair is almost that color!!
